Cafeteria Recycling Program

Silverbrook's Green Initiative is helping save the Earth and local families in need of support.  Last year, we collected over 8,000 pounds of unopened/uneaten food items during lunch time to donate to the Lorton Community Action Center, our local Food Bank. This food would have just been thrown away! With the help of Silverbrook's volunteers, we are able to collect this food for the LCAC. Our children are learning about the importance of recycling and helping others in need. 

Your help is needed. Please volunteer for our Cafeteria Recycling Program so that this program has another successful year! Contact Ms. Bena Barham, Librarian, at @email for more information.  THINK GREEN!

We need volunteers daily to help with this program.  The time commitment is from 11:15 to 1:05.

Volunteering in the Library

Silverbrook students are checking out books in the library.  We need YOUR help to shelve books, check shelves, and help students find books that they love. You do not have to make a weekly commitment.  You can volunteer in the library when you have time available. Strategies Lab Parent Volunteers Needed for 2018-2019

Can you offer a gift of time? Volunteers are needed to SET UP the grade level mobile lab, assist the teacher, and PACK UP the lab for the next class of students to use. Volunteers also assist with monitoring the activities and helping students learn the rules. Please consider volunteering! The goal is to have at least one volunteer per time block in each classroom. Volunteers can work in any classroom! If you have extra time, please help another class that needs volunteers!
